Happy Monday Morning Friends!

Good morning friends! Hope this finds you well and ready to begin a new week. I don't know about you, but the older I get, the faster time goes. Halloween is just 6 days away so I have slipped in one more Halloween card to show you. The dies I have used are Pumpkin Trio,Ghosts and bat, Crow mini, Scaredy cat mini, and the picket fence. I used Copics to color the background and moon, and a white gel pen for the highlights. Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween on Sunday. Be back in a week! Hugs, Janice

Happy Monday Morning Friends!

Good morning everyone! I am so excited about the new dies at The Scrapping Cottage and Peachy Keen Stamps! I can't wait to try them all. Today I have a card featuring Lisa Jean Witch. This die set comes with 3 Peachy Keen Stamps, a toothless grin face, a cranky witch face, and an angry broom face. I chose to use the crabby witch face today as I used the other face just a short time ago.

I cut the pieces using white cardstock and colored them up with my copics. I am so happy Lorie taught us that wonderful trick. I find myself cutting most of my images in white. I love to color and I feel that you can get a much more detailed image doing it this way. Please be sure and check out the new dies at The Scrapping Cottage or at Peachy Keen Stamps. They have been selling quickly. They are definitely dies you will want for your Halloween collection. I would love to see what you create with your Cottage Cutz dies. Just leave a comment with a link so I can come take a look. Enjoy your day and I will be back next Monday with some more Halloween cuteness.

Playing with my Peachy Keen Stamps and Cottage Cutz Dies

Hello friends! I received some adorable Cottage Cutz Dies designed by Kathy Jakopovich and just had to play! Isn't this little Pumpkin House adorable. I cut the house pieces using white cardstock and colored the pieces with copics. I color the various pieces and then glue them together, just my personal preference. Some people cut, glue, and then color, while others use colored cardstock and distress the edges. There is no wrong way, whatever technique you feel most comfortable with is always a good choice. The finished card size is 5 1/2" square.

The other photo is a picture of 4 postcards I made for a postcard swap I am in. Postcards are fun to do because you can't embellish them unless you mail them as a card, and that kind of defeats the purpose. So they use little product and are cheaper to mail and they are fun to receive.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Just want to give a shout out for the Peachy Queen's daughter, Angelica and her husband Jorge. They will be launching the grand opening of Market Street Stamps tonight, at 8:00pm Central.
I am so excited for them and can hardly wait to see the big reveal. Angelica has teased us with a couple of sneak peeks, and boy are they cute!!!! You can check it out here!

Happy Monday to all of you!

Hello Friends!

Sorry I am a little late posting today. We have been having some really nice Fall weather and I know my sisters in WI have been enjoying beautiful sunshine and changing colors. For todays card, I wanted to try and achieve a shabby chic kind of feel. I think I was successful. I have been wanting to go apple picking, but haven't made it yet. I hope to before apple picking season is over. Here in New England, there are lots of places to chose from, and you don't have to drive too far. We went apple picking when we lived in Arizona, surprisingly. The groves were smaller but the apples were good. I still prefer the cooler fall weather of the Midwest and the changing colors. Massachusetts has a very similar climate as my home state of Wisconsin. I do miss the wide streets and sidewalks of Wisconsin, but New England is beautiful too!

I used two mini dies today. Apples and CottageCutz Basket Mini (currently sold out). I will be back next Monday. Have a great week!! :) Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 38

Hello friends! Time for Peachy Keen's Challenge 38. For this challenge it is all about Fall. Create a layout or project based on the season and using PKS' stamps. The only catch is that it can't be a card! If you are thinking this looks similar to yesterdays post you are right. I was going to use the paddle for this challenge but it just wasn't working, so I went with a frame instead. I used PK-613 Happy Scarecrow, and PK-614 Fall Fun Pumpkins, which is one of my favorite sets. I also used PK-268 Happy Mother's Day for the bird. The chipboard tree was covered with SU designer paper. The little wooden birdhouse was also covered with patterned paper. The cornstalk was made with raffia and the Indian corn was made with a Cottage Cutz die, Indian Corn. The images, except for the bird, were colored with prismacolor colored pencils and blended with gamsol. Hope you will play along with us and show us your fall creations. Please check out what the rest of the design team have created, and remember Peachy Keen now has 2 design teams and 2 challenges you can play along with.

And the WINNER is.....

#27 Pamela Pattison Lash

Congratulations Pamela. Please contact me so I can mail your prize to you. Thanks to all of you for participating in the blog hop and for all the wonderful comments!

FYI.... Just wanted to let you know that design team members or duplicate posts were eliminated from this contest. The comments were printed, duplicates crossed out as well as dt members. Then I numbered them 1 - 264 and used the random number generator, results posted above. I am sure there is an easier way to do this, but for me, the technically challenged, this works. Just wanted you to know that it was done fairly.

Happy Monday Morning Friends!

Todays post is some Fall wall decor. I purchased this wooden paddle for a dollar at A.C. Moore. I traced the paddle outline onto the black gingham designer paper. I cut out the shape. After adhering the paper to the paddle I then sanded the edges to distress them a bit. The dies I used today are Squirrel With Acorn, Pumpkin Scarecrow, and the Pumpkin. I used colored cardstock and patterned paper to cut the images. Distressed the edges and arranged the pieces on the paddle till I liked what I saw. I hope you like it too! Enjoy your day everyone!
