Lawnscaping DT Call Challenge

Hello friends!  Lawn Fawn is having a DT Call Challenge that I learned about from my friend Samantha.  She has an amazing entry that you can see here.  Isn't it fabulous?  So I decided to submit a card for the challenge as well.  Here is my card.

I love to make scenes so I used this adorable Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I am adding my grass tutorial from a previous post in case you haven't seen it.  I used Copic Markers to color the images.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

You can read all about the DT Call by clicking HERE.
Thanks for the opportunity to try out for the challenge!

Happy Memorial Day and a Peachy Tutorial

Hello friends!  It is my day to post to the Peachy Keen Blog.  First I would like to thank all our service men and women for their dedication to our country!  God bless you!

Happy Memorial Day!

I have been trying to offer little tutorials in the hopes that you might be inspired to try something new, or to try it again if it has been awhile.  For me it has been awhile.  I looked to Splitcoaststampers website to see if there was a tutorial that would inspire me.  When I came to the baby wipe technique tutorial, I remembered that I had done this before and was happy with the results.  I did it years ago so I don't have that sample to share with you.  It was before I started blogging.

I used various SU ink colors to make my baby wipe ink pad and stamped the butterflies to make the background paper.  I stamped another butterfly and used a circle punch to punch it out.  Here is the finished card.  The butterfly and sentiment are from PKSC-16 April 2013.

For my next card I used some solid stamps from PKSC-09 September 2012.
I used the leaf to make the background paper and stamped a few acorns and cut them out.  I stamped and paper pieced the scarecrow.  Here is the finished card.

For my final card I used the Striped Wipe technique.  You can view that tutorial HERE!  I used 2 colors of ink to prepare the wipe for stripes.  Sorry I didn't photograph that one.  Here is the completed card.

I didn't use glossy cardstock as suggested.  I used Stampin Up  Whisper White.  I made one of the baby wipes like above and then used it for the striped background by adding alternating dots of ink in a vertical line.  I used some of the scrap cardstock to punch the grass and the butterflies.  I used PK-240 Say It With Flowers.  I love this stamp set.  It is an oldie but goodie!

Have a fabulous day!

Janice

More Peachy Babies

Hello Peachy friends!  I just adore these new baby stamps so I created this beach scene with PK-209 Life is Good Babies.  How fun are those shades?!  I love the little girl's hair and that face just makes me smile!  The sand castle border was punched with an EK Success punch that I have had for years.  The boat in the ocean is a separate stamp from the set, that I used on the little boys outfit too.  The felt clouds were cut from a Memory Box Die, Puffy Clouds.  Doesn't this card make you wish for Summer?  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-19

Hello and welcome to another Peachy Challenge 13-19.  This weeks challenge is to create a card with a Mother/Grandmother theme.  I used PK-209 Life is Good Babies, PK-197 Baby Buzz Sentiments, and PK-241 Happy Birthday Kids for the ice cream cone.  Here is my card:

Could these stamps get any cuter?!!  I just love these little babies!  This little cutie was colored with Copics and her dress was paper pieced.  Isn't that sentiment so TRUE?  Grandmas are the best!  I hope you find time to play along with us this week!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Janice
