LMMS Challenge #128 - Favorite Little Miss Muffet Stamp

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  (Well almost!)  Wishing you all a year filled with love, health, and happiness!

This weeks challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps is to use your favorite LMMS stamp.  I love the Sun Bonnet Sue stamps and chose Fancy Sunbonnet Miss Muffet.  I used colored pencils to color the image.

I used turquoise and red, two of my favorite colors, but I think I prefer Copics over color pencils.  Maybe I just haven't found the right paper to achieve the results I would like.

Here is the same image that I colored in 2014 using Copics and no-line coloring.  This stamp would be great to use paper piecing as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made with a Little Miss Muffet Stamps Polka Dot Pals Noelle.  I love this digi stamp!  It is one of the new releases.  I colored her up with Copics and made a simple background by having her skate on a small icy pond.  I added glitter to create a snowy scene and finished it off with some punched snowflakes.

Isn't she a fun image!  Hope you like her.

LMMS Challenge #125 - Thanks or Support

Little Miss Muffet Stamps has a new challenge up.  The theme is Thanks or Support.  I chose to make a card offering support to our friends in France.  I wish we could all live in peace and love.  For my card I chose to use Polka Dot Pals Amelia.  I kept the image black and white and just highlighted the hearts and added some tears to her face.  The attacks in Paris are so tragic!  This card represents the sadness I feel for lives lost and the desire to show compassion and support, when you feel so helpless, that you can only offer a cyber hug to those so far away.

"Thanks" or "Cards of Support for France"

One lucky winner will receive a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS shop for their entry here.  Plus if you also share your project in the LMMS Facebook group then you have another chance to win a $5.00 Gift Voucherto the LMMS shop!  And yes, the random winners could be the same person.

I hope you will join us in our new challenge.

Oops! He's a day late!

Hi all!  Sorry I am a day late with my post.  Here is Mustache Guy  from Little Miss Muffet stamps.

Digital stamps are fun and versatile.  I used the larger mustache so he could have a head of hair.  The tools were cut with a My Favorite Things die.  He was colored with copics and mounted on an embossed card.  The white in his hair is from a white gel pen.  Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend.

No Designer Paper Challenge

Good morning friends!  Little Miss Muffet Stamps is sponsoring a challenge at Cards and More Challenge Blog.  The theme is no patterned paper.  You can create your own patterned paper or simply not use any at all.  I have been enjoying using just a regular pencil lately.  I used Jr. Hatter Millie.  I think the Jr. Hatters are so cute, don't you?

I chose to use dies for my card with a classic red, black and white color scheme.
I hope you will play along for a chance to win a gift certificate to Little Miss Muffets Stamps Store.

Hello friends!  There are new stamps in the LMMS store.  Today we are showcasing the newest release by Dove Art Designs.  I made two cards to share with you today.  The first card uses The Apple Branch.

I colored the image with copics and layered it up with bright, bold colors.  The gingham bow gives the finishing touch.  For my second card I used Winter Cardinals.

These lovely birds were colored with copics.  I kept the card clean and simple because the image is so beautiful.  I added some sparkle to the snow with Dazzlin Diamonds glitter from Stampin Up.

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a card I made using Swings 'n Slides Bump.  I love this image because when I was little I used to love riding the bumper cars at at Bay Beach in Green Bay Wisconsin.  It is still a favorite place to go when I visit home during the summer.

I hope you aren't tired of turquoise and red.  I will try to challenge myself and use colors I don't usually use.  The image was colored with copics and is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  There is still time to join the challenge.

One For The Boys Challenge #119

Hi friends!  Time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Challenge #119 One For The Boys.  The image I chose is Swings 'n Slides Fireflies.  He is a red rubber stamp.  I think he makes the perfect boy card!

I colored the image with copics.  I messed up his jeans and sneakers (intentionally) to look as though he was climbing and chasing those fireflies and getting grass and mud stains on his clothing.  I remember catching fireflies when I was a little girl.  Fun memories!  I hope you will play along with us at LMMS for challenge #119.

Have a great day!

Little Miss Muffet Stamp Rosalie

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made using Polka Dot Pals Rosalie.  She is signing LOVE!  She was a free digital stamp a couple of weeks ago at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and she still is!!!

My friend Barbara is the owner of Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Her daughter Cassandra is deaf.  Here is something I copied so that you could learn more about her.  I would love if you would sign the petition so that Cassandra as well as other hearing impaired children will receive all that they deserve to help them learn.

Cassandra is a deaf student attending public school. She has asked for CART (a type of real-time captioning used by many deaf individuals) but the school district has denied her request. She needs your support.

You may click here to learn more about CART for Cassandra.

Hi Everyone!  Long time no post.  Just enjoying family time with visitors this summer!  Today I am sharing a card I made for the Make It Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge, Shaker cards.  I chose this fabulous image Witchy Concoctions.  I made the door of the cauldron into the shaker part.  I drew a couple of eyeballs and a spider and added some seed beads for the shaker elements.  I love Halloween images and this witch is so cool.  It was a lot of fun to color!  Hope you like it.

I used copics and colored pencils to color the image.  I drew the stones around the fire.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Mask-erade Online Card class

Hello everyone!  I signed up for an online card class called Mask-erade.  I am enjoying the different ways you can use masks.  This is the second time I have taken a class from this online source, and I am sure I will be taking more in the future.  They do an excellent job!  I have 2 cards to share with you today.

I made a stencil of the leaf from a Memory Box die and sponged several different colors on my card front.  The hello die is from Lawn Fawn.  I cut out several and glued them together.  When cutting the hello from your card front be sure and save the little shapes between the letters so you can put them back on your card.  Those little pieces will be flush with the card base.  The word hello will be popped up because of the layers.  It looks much better in real life.  My second card was done with a waves border die, I think from MFT (My Favorite Things) and a Sizzix Dolphin yellow die. (I don't think they make those yellow dies anymore.)
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!

Janice

Tiddly Inks DT Call

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing this adorable Tiddly Inks image.  This is Faythe Flower Girl Extraordinaire.  It is a digital stamp.  I decided I wanted her to have a cute little dress so I cut a piece of designer paper 8 1/2 by 11 inches and printed her a couple of times, just in case I made a mistake.  I added some shading to the folds of her dress, though it is hard to see in the photo.  I will list the colors I used for her skin and hair below.

I am pleased with the way she turned out.  I think the paper piecing was the perfect choice for her.

Hair B39 B45 T10
Skin E11 E13 E04 RV34
Roses and shoes R29 R35 R59

I am entering this into the Tiddly Inks DT call which closes in just a few hours. Can't win if you don't try, right?

Have a terrific day!

Make It Crafty CAS DT Entry

Hello friends!  Sorry it has been so long since I posted.  I have made this card for The Make It Crafty DT call.  There are still 2 more days to enter!

I would love to be on the team!  Their challenges are so much fun and really push you to improve your skills by stepping out of your comfort zone.  Zoe is always so generous with her knowledge of coloring and is a genuine, honest, good person!  I had the pleasure of meeting her at a coloring retreat in Texas a few years ago!  I chose Koala and Joey Digi Stamp for my image.  I thought it would be nice to color an animal image for a change.

I will list the copics below.  I used an embossing folder for the background that reminded me of the branch he is holding.  I embossed extra so I could make the embellishment.  The finished card is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches.

For the fur I used the warm grays.
W0 all the way to W9 for the nose.
The pink in the ears is R01
The background is YG11 and B00
The ground is E43, E42, E31 and more warm grays for the bears shadows along with BV000
The leaves YG63 YG67 abd G85

I am also sharing a few CAS cards I made for some FB challenges that Make It Crafty had a short time ago.  I don't have a color list but wanted to share them here for more inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Tiddly Inks DT Call

Hello friends!  Sorry for my infrequent posts.  The last few months of 2014 were a bit hectic.  My youngest son had a collapsed lung in October which required a chest tube.  After 6 weeks, it collapsed again on December 3rd.  This time he had surgery and spent 13 days in the hospital.  Our Christmas tree was up and decorated just in the "Nick" of time, on Christmas Eve.  We had a lovely Christmas spent with my husband's family and I had all three of my son's home for Christmas, just the way I like it.  Now with the New Year and no health crisis' at hand I am ready to start crafting again.

Tiddly Inks is having a Design Team call and so I have decided to give it a try.  I wanted to join the previous call, but it was a good thing I did not, with my son's collapsed lung and all.  Today is the last day to enter.

Here is my card for the call.

I chose a digital stamp called Ducky Dance - Wryn.  I love the image and am already in the mood for Spring.  I used bright cheerful copic markers, gave her some striped leggings and layered her onto a card with some brads, and the perfect orange and yellow striped ribbon to finish the card.  The Thinking of You sentiment is from Ellie Says Be Happy clear stamp set.

Here are the Copics I used and a few prismacolor pencils to enhance some of the shadows.

Thank you Christy Croll for a chance to join a fun Design Team.  Good luck to everyone!  Some really fantastic entries!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
